Two photographs of Vancouver’s Hastings Street, seen from the intersection with Hornby Street, taken 115 years apart.
The Winch Building, which is a grand, five-storey office block in the Beaux-Arts Classical style is nearly the only element shared between these two photographs. It was just one year old when photographer James Skitt Mathews captured the original image in 1910.
